The Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal, Berkeley's own monthly Balkan series is back, kicking off its 6th season with two bands whose names are synonymous with party, Fanfare Zambaleta and Zabava! Izvorno.  Zabava starts of the night with soulful and trance-like Izvorno music from FYR Macedonia featuring traditional instruments like the gaida, tambura, and tupan. Fanfare Zambaleta then take the stage and bring you their signature brand of Balkan brass classics. 11 strong, they will get you moving your feet in rhythms and ways you never dreamed of.
