Fanfare Zambaleta brings an eleven-piece brass ensemble to San Francisco International Arts Festival, Sunday, June 4th. Fanfare Zambaleta transports the rich musical tapestry of the Balkans to California in performances that emulate the spirit and atmosphere of a village wedding party. This performance will highlight both recent compositions and traditional music alongside audience participatory folk dance. Fanfare Zambaleta will unveil a new set celebrating the repertoire of composer and Serbian Rom rotary flugelhorn legend Demiran Ćerimović and Macedonian Rom trumpet maestro Dzambo Agusevi. A group dance lesson will be offered to the audience as part of the performance.
