Voice of Roma, a human rights advocacy organization dedicated to the promotion of Balkan Romani (Gypsy) cultural arts and traditions, is pleased to announce its 21st Annual Romani Music Festival. Macedonian brass band sensation Džambo Aguševi Orchestra will headline the program with a dance party and celebration. The evening also includes a panel discussion and dance workshop.

DŽAMBO AGUŠEVI: In the competitive world of Romani Balkan brass bands, a new star of the trumpet - Džambo Aguševi - has been sweeping up awards. Hailing from Strumica in eastern Macedonia, Džambo seems to have been born with a trumpet in his hand, and to have grown up doing nothing but practicing on it. At only 11 years old, he earned himself a place in his uncle Kočo's well-known band, Aguševi. Džambo, now 30, quickly ascended to the top of his profession and formed his own stellar band, with his father and other relatives.
