Let's play music and dance together!

East Bay Kolo is a group of (relatively) young Balkan dance enthusiasts and we want to create inclusive and fun events revolving around music and dance.

We hope to chop two or more carrots in one stroke by both hanging out and also learning dancing from each other and guest teachers:

More goals:
(A) to show some fun Balkan dances to those interested that haven't had a chance to learn those dances at Balkan events
(B) to allow musicians to rehearse (new) music repertoire for the Balkan Sundays series
((C)) to snack and enjoy each others company (in the indoors or outdoors, wherever this week's kolo meet-up happens to be).

Trio Dancho will be the band for this installment of East Bay Kolo! Trio Dancho is Dan Cantrell on accordion/vocals, Gregory Masaki Jenkins on saxophone/clarinet/voice and Sean Tergis on tupan/darbuka. The band welcomes people to join so bring an instrument and sit in. We will be playing a lot of Balkan standards and Balkan Sundays rep. 

We will keep the dance and music separate at first but then we will combine forces!

There is no skill level needed to join the dances. Come one, come all!
